Date, Bacon, and Jalapeno Goat Cheese Dip

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon, cut into pieces
  • 1 large jalapeno, seeded and diced
  • 6 dates, cut into pieces
  • 1 tbsp coconut sugar or brown sugar
  • 8 oz log goat cheese, room temperature
  • Olive oil, to serve
  • Fresh jalapeno slices, to serve
  • Craize Jalapeno Lime, to serve

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a small baking sheet with parchment paper. 
  2. Place the bacon, jalapeno, dates, and coconut sugar on the baking sheet. Toss to combine and spread evenly. 
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes, tossing every 10 minutes until the dates are caramelized and the bacon is cooked through. 
  4. Meanwhile, put the goat cheese in a food processor and pulse until smooth and creamy. Spread evenly onto your serving platter. 
  5. Top the goat cheese with the date and bacon mixture. Drizzle with olive oil if desired and serve with Craize!
